Here are all the confirmed ray tracing and DLSS games so far

Got a good GPU? Treat yourself to ray tracing, DLSS, or both

Time once again to check in on the state of ray tracing and DLSS games. It’s been a relatively quiet few weeks on the tech front since DLSS 3.5 Ray Reconstruction arrived, combining the slick visuals of ray tracing with the performance-boosting AI tricks of DLSS, but then such developments are a rare occurrence anyhow. All the while, the range of games that supports one or both of these technologies grows ever wider, and we’re still gathering all their names into these lists for your Ctrl-F'ing convenience.

I’ve noticed that the number of DLSS-supporting games is increasingly dwarfing that of ray traced games, not that anyone’s complaining. Nvidia’s upscaler looks sharper and is no slower than alternatives like AMD FSR, so as long as you have a compatible GeForce RTX graphics card, its one-click performance boost is often well worth taking. It’s also a natural partner for RT effects, which look nice but levy quite the framerate tax; an upscaler like DLSS helps negate this drop.

All told, both are worth checking out in the games that support them. If you’ve bagged yourself an RTX 40 series GPU, you can also go a step further and enable DLSS 3 frame generation - a frame interpolation feature that uses AI to draw up whole new frames and insert them between the ordinarily rendered ones, sending your FPS skyrocketing at minimal resource cost. Game compatibility isn’t nearly as widespread as that of standard DLSS upscaling, but it too is growing, so I’ve included a separate section for current and upcoming DLSS 3 games toward the bottom of this page.

As for the newest additions, Naraka: Bladepoint, Warhammer: Vermintide II, and even former Let’s Player bane Slender: The Arrival have all just upgraded to support DLSS 3. We’re still waiting on the promised DLSS patch for Starfield, though you can already mod it in easily enough.

The introduction of DLSS 2.0 in games such as Death Stranding marked a real turning point. Whereas previous DLSS games were noticeably blurry with DLSS enabled, DLSS 2.0 could often look indistinguishable from a game's native resolution. Subsequent versions have made further visual improvements, especially om fast-moving objects.

There are more DLSS games on the way, too. DLSS has now been integrated into both the Unreal Engine and Unity game-making tools now, so it should be much easier for developers to start adding in support for it.

That said, several games Nvidia have announced over the past few years still haven't received their intended DLSS support yet, and consequently I've removed some of the titles that were previously included on this list, as even Nvidia seem to have forgotten about them in their most recent DLSS announcements. Instead, the games below are definitely confirmed to be getting DLSS support, based on the most recent information available to us.

DLSS games on the way:

  • Alone In The Dark (2024)
  • Ashfall
  • Ash Echoes
  • Black Myth: Wukong
  • Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 3
  • Delta Force: Hawk Ops
  • Dying: 1983
  • GRIT
  • Half-Life 2 RTX

  • On Air
  • Project Mugen
  • Ratten Reich
  • Ripout
  • RoboCop: Rogue City
  • SCP: 5K (available now in early access)
  • Sons of the Forest (available now in early access)
  • STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl
  • Starfield (update coming post-launch)
  • Super People 2 (available now in early access)
  • The Anacrusis (available now in early access)
  • The Day Before
  • The Finals
  • The First Descendant
  • Throne and Liberty
  • Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2
  • Voidtrain (available now in early access)
  • Witchfire (available now in early access)

DLSS 3 games you can play right now:

A Portal RTX screenshot, showing a weighted cube next to a blue portal.
Portal with RTX was one of the first DLSS 3 games, and now it's getting DLSS 3.5 Ray Reconstruction.

DLSS 3 is a generational step up from previous versions. It still works by rendering frames at a lower resolution, then upscaling them, but DLSS 3 can also add brand new frames that Nvidia’s AI tech generates itself (using data from surrounding frames). These interpolated frames are snuck in-between the rendered frames, boosting overall FPS even more.

There are some downsides: this technique increases input latency, so might not be great for pacey competitive games, and it will only be available if you’re running an GeForce RTX 40 series GPU. Still, it works well from what I've played, with particularly impactful FPS boosts at 4K; the only time I've witnessed unacceptable quality drops from frame gen has been in Immortals of Aveum, which had a nasty ghosting effect at launch. Every other time, DLSS 3 has looked fine.

Some of these games may also get support for DLSS 3.5 and its Ray Reconstruction feature, though unlike frame generation, this won't specifically require an RTX 40 series GPU. In any case, here are the games that already have the original DLSS 3 up, running, and playable with frame generation:

  • A Plague Tale: Requiem
  • Alan Wake 2
  • Atomic Heart
  • Bright Memory: Infinite
  • Cyberpunk 2077
  • Conqueror's Blade
  • Dakar Desert Rally
  • Deliver Us Mars
  • Desordre: A Puzzle Game Adventure
  • Destroy All Humans! 2 - Reprobed
  • Diablo IV
  • Dying Light 2
  • F1 22
  • FIST: Forged In Shadow Torch
  • Fort Solis
  • Forza Horizon 5
  • Hitman: World of Assassination
  • Hogwarts Legacy
  • Icarus
  • Immortals of Aveum
  • Jurassic World Evolution 2
  • Justice
  • Loopmancer
  • Lords of the Fallen
  • Marvel's Midnight Suns
  • Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales
  • Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered
  • Microsoft Flight Simulator
  • Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord
  • Naraka: Bladepoint
  • Need For Speed Unbound
  • Perish
  • Portal with RTX
  • Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart
  • Redfall
  • Remnant II
  • Returnal

  • Tower of Fantasy
  • Warhammer: Vermintide II
  • Warhammer 40,000: Darktide
  • Warhaven
  • WRC Generations

DLSS 3 games on the way:

Some of these games are already out but are waiting on a patch to add DLSS 3; others will launch in the future with frame generation ready to go.
  • Ashfall
  • Ash Echoes
  • Black Myth: Wukong
  • Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 3
  • Chernobylite
  • Delta Force: Hawk Ops
  • F1 23 (update coming post-launch)
  • Fortnite
  • Half-Life 2 RTX
  • Honor of Kings: World
  • Legend of Ymir
  • Marauders
  • Midnight Ghost Hunt
  • Project Mugen
  • Ripout
  • RoboCop: Rogue City
  • STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl
  • Super People 2 (available now in early access)
  • Sword and Fairy 7
  • The Day Before
  • The Finals
  • The First Descendant
  • Throne and Liberty
  • Witchfire (available now in early access)

Unreal Engines 4 and 5, Unity, and the Frostbite Engine are all DLSS 3 compatible, so you can expect this list to grow just as the 'old' DLSS lists above have done.
